Wolkite City will be pleased with their
Striker and Ethiopia International, Getaneh
Kebede who scored the equalizer for
Ethiopia in their World Cup qualifiers in
South Africa against Ghana with hope he
will reproduce that form when they host
Hawassa City in their hope turf, Hawassa
University Stadium Sunday.
Wolkite currently sit in the 12th
position
this season from two draws and have not
lived up to the billing with question marks
hanging on the decision of Kebede to
swap St George for them.
Hawassa City will not be a tea party for
them as they are one of the form sides
this season and a win for them will
enhance their top three position
There is the added incentive of being the
"home"side in this fixture with all the
games holding in their home ground.
Hawassa's real strength lies in the quality
of their attacking play led by the
effervescent Biruk Beyene and the darting
runs of Efrem Ashamo and the creativity
of Wondmagegn Hailu
Hailu pulls all the strings in midfield and
that's who Wolkite should stop if they are
to get anything out of this game
Wolkite needs to buy a win sooner to
avoid the discomfort of early season
relegation blues, and with Kebede in their
ranks, every team will come prepared for
them.
They will hope the attention creates other
options for them.
